Celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim has revealed a fun and stylish side of Virat Kohli that many fans might not know. Aalim Hakim revealed that Virat Kohli doesn’t rely on anyone else when it comes to grooming his beard, as he shapes and styles it all by himself.
Hakim said that the former India captain has a great sense of style and knows exactly how to carry his look. The celebrated hairstylist even called Kohli a grooming expert, but the dashing cricketer’s skills go beyond just taking care of his own beard.

Aalim further went on to reveal that the right-handed batter is so good at grooming that he can even give others a haircut if needed. Apart from being one of the best batters in the world, the former Indian captain also has a sharp eye for style and grooming.

Aalim Hakim said during a podcast with Hindirush, “Virat is a very stylish man. Beard…he shapes it himself. He is such a master. I do only light work. He does everything by himself. He can cut other people's hair. His hand is very clean. His eye is so sharp.”

Virat Kohli is a regular client of celebrity hairstylist Hakim. Just before the 2025 IPL season, the star batter got a fresh haircut from Hakim to make sure he looked sharp and stylish on the field. He had a brilliant run in IPL 2025, scoring 657 runs in 15 innings.
Kohli ended as RCB’s top scorer and played a key role in helping the team win their first-ever IPL title, finally ending their 17-year wait for a trophy. However, in the middle of this season, the right-handed batter announced his retirement from Test series, finishing his career with over 9000 runs. Now, Virat Kohli will play for India only in the ODI format.
Sachin Tendulkar used to cut his Indian teammates’ hair on overseas tours
Meanwhile, Hakim shared another interesting story. He revealed that Sachin Tendulkar also has a sharp sense of style and used to give haircuts to his teammates during overseas tours. Aalim said that Tendulkar has a very keen eye and he has been styling his hair for the past 20 years.
The hairstylist said, “Sachin Tendulkar sir can cut anybody’s hair. I have been cutting his hair for 20 years. When he used to go on the overseas tours, he used to cut his teammates' hair. He is also very sharp, he keeps his hair very normal. It will look like he has wavy hair. His mind, his style, his aesthetics, and his focus are very strong. He has knowledge of each strand. You may think that he never keeps a beard and his hair is wavy, but his mind is very sharp.”
Apart from Virat and Sachin, other Indian cricketers like MS Dhoni, Mohammed Siraj, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, and Suryakumar Yadav are the clients of Hakim.
