Indian captain Virat Kohli has responded to the criticism that has come his way ever since he revealed his diet during a recent Q-A session with fans on Instagram.
Last week, Virat Kohli conducted a Question-Answer session on his official Instagram account and, as expected, the champion Indian cricketer was flooded with questions from his fans.
One of his fans proceeded to enquire about his diet.
To which, Virat responded by saying that he eats a lot of vegetables, eggs among a whole host of home cooked dishes.
”Lots of vegetables, some eggs, 2 cups of coffee, dal, quinoa, lots of spinach, love dosas too. But all in controlled quarantines” replied Virat Kohli.

Kohli’s reply came as a surprise to a plethora of social media users, including his fans after he included ‘egg’ in his diet. That is because, two years ago, the spearhead of the whirlwind revolution in Indian Cricketer’s fitness standards, Virat Kohli had revealed that he had turned ‘vegan’.
Last year, during an Insta live session with former England cricketer, Kevin Pietersen, Kohli admitted that going vegan has been one of the best decisions of his life.
“I felt amazing, it is almost two years now and it is the best decision I have taken… it made me feel why I didn’t do it before,” he said.

Kohli has now responded to his critics.
The Indian skipper took to his official Twitter account on Tuesday where he clarified that he has never claimed to be vegan.
‘’I never claimed to be vegan. Always maintained I’m vegetarian. Take a deep breath and eat your Veggies (if you want )” wrote Virat Kohli.
