He is the only player to score 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000, and now 9,000 runs for a single franchise.

A few days prior, he became the first batter in the IPL to hit 800 fours. The 37-year-old batter achieved the milestone during his knock of 81 runs in the RCB vs GT clash. He now has 808 boundaries in 275 IPL appearances, more than any other batter in tournament history.

DC batters had no answer to Bhuvi and Hazlewood
Coming to the match, RCB won the toss and elected to bowl first. They played the same team over their last win against GT. However, the home side DC made three changes with Kyle Jamieson, Dushmantha Chameera, and Sahil Parakh coming in.
After being invited to bat first, DC lost Sahi Parakh in the first over. The duo of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood made the DC batters look ordinary as they lost six wickets for just eight runs in the match, which is the lowest ever total to 5+ wickets under 10 runs.
From there, they never recovered and were bowled out for the score of 75 runs courtesy of 30 runs from Abishek Porel, who came in as an impact player in the match. RCB chased down the target of 76 runs in 6.3 overs with 9 wickets in hand.
