Virat Kohli's childhood hero blames Jasprit Bumrah for India's Lord's Test defeat to England

The India vs England third Test marked many wonderful moments in the game despite being an engaging contest between the English seamers and the Indian lower-order batter.
Though India lost the game at Lord's by a close margin of 22 runs, every cricket fan praised the efforts from India's no. 10 and no. 11, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, who played around 14 overs themselves to give Ravindra Jadeja the support he needed from the other end.
Where even the top-order batters had compromised their wicket, it seemed impossible for the Indian lower-order batter to score quick runs as the England pacers kept coming at them with pace and accuracy. Stokes, seemingly frustrated, attacked Jasprit Bumrah with a series of bouncers as well.
However, amid several praises, Bumrah will now have to face the criticism from former South African cricketer and one of the known players to have inspired India's modern-day great, Virat Kohli.
Herschelle Gibbs takes down Jasprit Bumrah for the Lord's innings
After a humiliating collapse of the Indian top order, Jasprit Bumrah came in to bat for India after India lost their 8th wicket just at the stroke of lunch. Earlier, Gibbs was in the news for criticism of WTC Final-winning captain Temba Bavuma's final innings.
Herschelle Gibbs has moved his gun now, towards Bumrah, as, according to him, Bumrah's lack of intent at playing shots cost India the match, as the Men in Blue lost by a very narrow margin.
“Came close in the end, but lack of intent cost India the game,” Gibbs posted on X.
However, he questioned Bumrah's lack of intent, as the batter had faced 53 balls before getting dismissed in the Indian innings.
“Bumrah has the most runs in an over for a batsman in test cricket... Where was that intent today? He showed intent that day, what was different today? Let’s hear your thinking?” This was Gibbs replying to a fan who had held circumstances responsible for the quiet innings of both Bumrah and Jadeja.

Gibbs also slams the top order for a lack of responsibility
When cleared, Ravindra Jadeja and the tailenders were probably left with a huge lot of things to do at the back end. Herschelle Gibbs moved his gun now towards the Indian top-order, who needed to pull their performance, showing some intent earlier as well.
“Ofcourse it is (the top order job).. when did you ever take it to the bowlers? They were allowed to bowl without any batsman trying to put pressure on them,” he said.
“All England did was bowl wicket to wicket .. pitch was fine, nothing misbehaved. Just some intent was lacking, that’s all.” This reply from Gibbs came as a bash on the top order: “Slogging is not intent, my friend.”

Bumrah had a crucial stand of 35 runs alongside Jadeja for the 9th wicket
Jasprit Bumrah, despite criticism, undoubtedly played an important role alongside Ravindra Jadeja, as the partnership set the tone for India's comeback in the game. India were 112/8, while the threat of a pre-tea collapse loomed over them; however, Bumrah's visibly long partnership frustrated the English pacers till tea.
Before getting dismissed in an attempt to play a pull shot at the front of the wicket from a ball bowled outside the off-stump, his 35-run stand with Jadeja revived India's chances in the game.
