Virat Kohli's daughter Vamika got concerned after India's T20 World Cup win, reveals Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma, the wife of Virat Kohli, has revealed their daughter Vamika Kohli's reaction after she saw the Indian team win the T20 WC. 

Rohit Sharma's Men in Blue locked horns with Aiden Markram's South Africa in the finale of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados. While the Indians were there at the Kensington Oval to make sure they ended their silverware drought, the South Africans were there to win their maiden World Cup title. 

It was South Africa's first-ever World Cup final and it was totally spoiled by Rohit Sharma and his Indian team. Aiden Markram had the golden opportunity to win a first-ever WC title for his nation and he even got very close to it. Markram is, in fact, the only captain in the history of Proteas cricket to lead the side to a WC trophy when he had led the U-19 side towards glory.

Now as a senior player, he had the chance of doing so once again but Rohit Sharma and co. stood between him and the silver trophy. For the Indian team, it was a historic feat as they had reached their first T20 World Cup final after a wait of an entire decade as their last appearance in the last match of the event came in 2014 during the Bangladesh edition. 

Since then, India have reached two semi-finals (2016 & 2022) and had also suffered a Group stage exit in 2021 when Virat Kohli was the captain. In this edition with India's World Cup win, the team has become the first nation from Asia to have two T20 WC trophies in their cabinet. 

Until now West Indies and England were the teams to have two titles but India have joined them as well. Rohit Sharma has become only the 2nd captain to win the coveted championship and is the 3rd Indian to captain the National side towards a World title. 

After India's historic feat, reactions came from all parts of the country. Be it the Prime Minister, former cricketers, Bollywood actors, and Politicians, everyone expressed their feelings and reactions. Virat Kohli's daughter Vamika Kohli also had a reaction to give and it's just priceless. 

Anushka Sharma reveals Vamika Kohli's reaction

After seeing her father Virat Kohli and the rest of the Indian players reduced to tears, Vamika Kohli told something precious to Anushka Sharma. The Bollywood actress took to Instagram after the final and spoke about Vamika's biggest concern after India's victory and the teary faces of Indian players. 

Anushka Sharma revealed that Vamika wanted to know if there was anyone in Barbados to console her father Virat Kohli and his Indian teammates. Vamika saw all of them cry on the TV and she got very concerned. 

"Our daughter's biggest concern was if all the players had someone to hug them after she saw them cry on TV. Yes, My Darling, they were hugged by 1.5 billion people. What a phenomenal victory and what a legendary achievement. Champions, Congratulations," Anushka Sharma wrote on Instagram.
