Virat Kohli's fan arrested for breaching security

According to RevSportz, the fan who breached the security to meet Virat Kohli during the match has been arrested under Section 329, according to which he can be fined or face some time in jail.

It is not the first time when a fan has breached the security when Kohli is playing. Kohli's immense popularity means that such instances have been quite common on Indian grounds.

How did this incident happen?

The incident took place during the 13th overs of RCB's innings when a fan ran in to breach the security and touched Virat Kohli's feet. It left Kohli baffled as he was in the zone and batting extremely well.

He turned his head around but the fan was quick to touch his feet. The fan also managed to hug Kohli before the security officials took him out of the ground.

The umpires also asked the fans to leave the ground quickly while Kohli asked the security officials to gently treat the supporter without causing him much harm.

Virat Kohli's takes RCB to opening day win

Despite the incident, Kohli carried on batting imperiously. Overall, he had a brilliant evening with the bat as he took RCB home comforbly in the end. It was not a typical Kohli-type of an innings as he showed aggressive intent from the first ball he faced.

Usually, he plays the role of an anchor but Kohli showed that he can play aggressively as well. He formed a fine partnership of 95 runs in just 8.3 overs with his new opening partner Phil Salt, who scored 56 off 31 balls.

While Salt was dismissed, Kohli carried on and maintained the aggressive momentum. He didn't bother to slow down and even took down KKR's best bowlers Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine.

The 36-year-old finished on an unbeaten 59 off just 36 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes. Kohli's good form with the bat augurs well for RCB in the upcoming matches. He was the highest run-getter last season and has continued that momentum this year as well.
