Virender Sehwag rates Rohit Sharma superior to Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and others

Former India National Cricket Team opener Virender Sehwag rated current Team India captain Rohit Sharma far superior to Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, AB de Villiers, Ben Stokes, and others. He made the choice during 'this and that' challenge on the sidelines of Delhi Premier League T20.

Virender Sehwag was first asked to choose one between MS Dhoni and England National Cricket Team Test skipper Ben Stokes. The former India National Cricket Team opener went to pick his Indian captain Dhoni over the all-rounder.

After that Virender Sehwag was asked to choose between MS Dhoni and AB de Villiers. The former India captain ditched the keeper-batter and went on to pick the former South Africa cricketer. Following that he was asked to choose one between de Villiers and Virat Kohli and he went with the latter.

Virender Sehwag then went on to pick Virat Kohli over Australia captain Pat Cummins. But after that, he was given a tough choice to pick one between Kohiu and Rohit Sharma. The former PBKS cricketer, however, didn't take time and went on to choose the current India National Cricket Team skipper.

After that Virender Sehwag ignored David Warner and Dale Steyn for Rohit Sharma, rating the current Indian skipper over everyone. The video was posted on the official Instagram account of Delhi Premier League T20 and it invited many reactions from the fans.

The batter is the number one ranked opener in the world and he has changed the way the India National Cricket Team plays the game. He has brought an aggressive approach to the team and has himself shown the way to the team.

The right-hander also recently guided the team to the T20 World Cup 2024 win and was the best batter in the team. He ended the tournament as the second-leading run-getter and also ended the 11-year-long title drought of the team.

Rohit Sharma will now be seen in action during the Test series against Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The opening batter will be captaining the team in the two-match Test series, which will also be part of the ICC World Test Championship.

The Test series between India and Bangladesh will begin on 19th September. The first match of the series between the teams will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and after that second game will be played from 27th September in Kanpur.

Rohit Sharma will be extremely crucial for the team in the Test series against Bangladesh. He has been the best Test batter for the team for the last few years and is also the highest-ranked Indian batter in the longest format of the game.
