"Wanted Few More Days...": Alex Carey Criticizes IND vs AUS T20Is Schedule

Australia won the ICC World Cup 2023 title but they could not celebrate it for longer. Alex Carey has said that once the team reunites in the future, they will reflect on the victory once again. While some Australian players like Pat Cummins had to return home, some others had to stay in India for the upcoming T20I series against India.
Australia won the ICC World Cup 2023 trophy after crushing India in the final by 6 wickets. Australia showcased a better batting and bowling show than India and lifted their sixth ODI World Cup title. Alex Carey played just one match in the tournament as Josh Inglis was picked as wicketkeeper in the rest of the matches.

I Think Everyone Probably Wanted A Few More Days Together: Alex Carey
While speaking to Sydney Morning Herald, Australia wicketkeeper Alex Carey said that players wanted a few more days together. He also said that some players are still celebrating in Visakhapatnam.
“A few of the guys are still celebrating over in Vizag. I was on the plane with Mitch Marsh to Melbourne and I think everyone probably wanted a few more days together. We’ve all split off our own different ways, there’s T20s coming up, some guys are on aeroplanes at the moment getting home as well”, Carey said.
Alex Carey also added that once the players reunite in the future, they will celebrate and talk about the victory.
“I think once we all settle back down and catch up again in Perth or wherever it is, it’ll be nice to talk about it and reflect on it a little bit more,” he further said.

Australia is all set to take on India in a T20I series. The series will witness five matches. The IND vs AUS 1st T20I takes place on Thursday, November 23 in Visakhapatnam.
Some players like Steve Smith, Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell, and Marcus Stoinis among others are part of the T20I series. Hence, they stayed back in India after ICC World Cup 2023. Players like David Warner, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood are not part of the series. Hence, they returned home to Australia.
