Wasim Jaffer shows England their place after crushing loss to India; Michael Vaughan responds

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan and Wasim Jaffer had a go at each other after India defeated England to make it to the T20 World Cup final. In the process, India avenged their defeat against the same team in the T20 World Cup 2022.

Team India will now take on South Africa in the T20 World Cup final in Barbados on June 29. This is the first time South Africa made it to the Men's T20 World Cup final or any ICC World Cup final for that matter. India, on the other hand, will play in their third T20 World Cup final.

Both the teams are unbeaten in this campaign so far and the winning run for one of these two teams will end in the final. South Africa defeated Afghanistan in a fairly one-sided contest in the semi-final while India defeated England.

Meanwhile, Vaughan commented on a few matters concerning Team India and their run to the semi-final in this World Cup. He first pointed out that India's knowledge of their World Cup semi-final venue worked to their advantage.

"Surely this Semi should have been the Guyana one... but because the whole event is geared towards India it’s so unfair on others… #T20IWorldCup," Vaughan wrote on Twitter.

He was quick to congratulate India on their semi-final against England after they outplayed England almost as a cover-up to his previous comment.

 " India throughly deserve to be in the final .. The best team in tournament so far .. Was always going to hard for England on this pitch .. India just so much better on lower slower spinning pitches .. #T20IWorldCup" said Vaughan.

Now in response to Wasim Jaffer's jibe, Vaughan has once again complimented India but with a twist this time around. He said that he hoped that India would play in the T20 World Cup final just like they did in the ODI World Cup final on November 19 last year.

India in previous ICC events faltered in the semi-final. However, in the last ODI World Cup final, they reached the final but unfortunately lost to Australia. this time around though they have eliminated Australia and England from the tournament and head into the T20 World Cup final as the favourites.

South Africa's old habit of choking in big ICC matches gives India the edge as well. However, this time around, they also have had a memorable campaign with 8 wins so far. * wins by South Africa in this World Cup is also the most by a team in a single edition of a T20 World Cup so far.

The two teams have a quick turnaround as both teams face off against each other in less than 48 hours in the big final on Saturday.
