Sanjay Manjrekar mocked Virat Kohli during the match between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings on May 18. During the match, the orange cap leaderboard was shown, and Manjrekar was shown trolling Kohli.

Kohli has managed to score 505 runs in 11 innings with a strike rate of 143. Kohli had only two innings in which he scored runs at an average of just over a hundred.

Fans took the clip on social media, and some Kohli fans abused Manjrekar for deliberately trolling Kohli.

Kohli is maintaining his strike-rate around 143 in IPL 2025, and Manjrekar added that nowadays players with the most runs also have a better strike-rate in his statement, which fans took as an offensive comment on him because Kohli won the Orange cap twice.

RCB's leading run-scorer in IPL 2025

Virat Kohli’s supreme form in IPL 2025 has been a reason for yet another playoff qualification for RCB. Kohli is the leading run-scorer in the RCB team with 505 runs in 11 innings, where Devdutt Padikkal is in the second spot with only 247 runs, which is not half of Virat Kohli’s runs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is in third place with 523 runs in 13 matches. Jaiswal also scored six half-centuries in the ongoing IPL season at a strike-rate of 158.

India’s T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav is in fourth spot with 510 runs in 12 matches. SKY’s strike rate is best among all the players in the list as he is scoring runs at a 170.56 strike rate.

Mr. Consistent Virat Kohli is in fifth place in the orange cap leaderboard. Kohli scored the most half-centuries this season so far, as he managed to score seven half-centuries in IPL 2025. Kohli scored 505 runs in 11 matches with an average of 63.13.
