Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) faced a massive blow in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 game against Delhi Capitals (DC). Skipper Ajinkya Rahane walked off the field with an injury at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday (29th April).

Kolkata Knight Riders are giving everything with the ball in what is the must-win encounter for them in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. They have been put under pressure by the Delhi Capitals batters, but they are making sure they don't take things easy.

Amid all this, skipper Ajinkya Rahane also got injured in an attempt to stop the ball. The incident happened on the 1st ball of the 12th over, which was a no-ball when Andre Russell was bowling to Delhi Capitals opener Faf du Plessis, who was going great guns with the bat.

Andre Russell bowled a half-volley outside off, to which Faf du Plessis got forward to drive to extra cover, where Ajinkya Rahane was stationed. The Kolkata Knight Riders skipper couldn't stop it cleanly, as the ball ended up hitting him hard on the finger.

Ajinkya Rahane's finger was bleeding as physios came out on the field, and he was taken off. The skipper looked in pain as he went off at the crucial juncture of the game.

Sunil Narine picked three wickets in a flash as he removed Axar Patel (43), Tristan Stubbs (1) and Faf du Plessis (65) to put Delhi Capitals under massive pressure. The mystery spinner returned with the figures of 3/29 in the four overs that he bowled to put his team in the dominating position.

He also then made brilliant call of calling Varun Chakravarthy imto the attack in 18th over. The mystery spinner picked two wickets in that over to put more pressure on Delhi Capitals.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi (44) continued his brilliant form and, along with Rinku Singh (36:), added 61 runs for the fifth wicket. Delhi Capitals made a strong comeback in the end, with Mitchell Starc bowling a brilliant last over. Kolkata Knight Riders ended with a score of 204 for nine.
