The pressure was visible on the Guyana Amazon Warriors bowlers after Fletcher and Sherfane Rutherford’s assault.

Keemo Paul tried to block Andre Fletcher’s path during the eighth over of the run chase. The situation escalated into a heated exchange between Fletcher and Paul during the match.

Teammates and umpires intervened to prevent the situation from worsening during the on-field altercation. They successfully separated the two players before any serious conflict occurred.

The Patriots lost key wickets in the middle overs, putting them behind in the game. They were bowled out for 226 in the 18th over.

The team recorded their third consecutive defeat in the ongoing tournament. They are in fifth place in the six-team table, with one win from four matches.

We Lost It When Sherfane Rutherford Got Out - Andre Fletcher

Speaking after the match, Andre Fletcher said that his team lost momentum after Sherfane Rutherford’s wicket. Fletcher added that he might need to maintain his aggressive batting approach.

"We lost it when Sherfane got out, I was thinking they had the two Sinclairs (Kevin and Junior) to come up which was my match-up. Sherfane played a good cameo. While chasing such a big total, you need two batters to play well," Fletcher said.

"As a captain, I can't drop my head, need to make sure we keep going on. We are playing for the people, we are playing for the franchise, we have to keep playing. Maybe I should continue batting like this," he added.
