Abhinav Manohar flops with the bat
SRH batsman Abhinav Manohar was given the opportunity to bat at No.7 and provide finishing touches to the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) innings, but he failed to do so.
Abhinav Manohar played an innings of 12 runs in 11 balls before his dismissal against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and his innings consisted of just one six.
He was cleaned up by the all-rounder Romario Shepherd in the 17th over of the innings. On the last ball of the over, Romario Shepherd bowled a slower shortish delivery on off-stump to Abhinav Manohar.
The SRH batter backed away and went for the pull but miscued it towards deep mid-wicket. Phil Salt, who was stationed there, fumbled in the first attempt, but he used his leg to his advantage to control the ball, and he took the catch with both hands on the second attempt.
Looking at the juggling act by Phil Salt, Virat Kohli's wife Anushka Sharma, who was in the stands, was amused and she burst into laughter before celebrating the wicket.
Meanwhile, the dismissal of Abhinav Manohar for a low score didn't affect SRH a lot as they ended with a huge score of 231/6 on the board, thanks to Ishan Kishan.

I must say it was my number 1 pick this year too - Heinrich Klaasen on SRH qualifying for the playoffs
Speaking in a video shared on the IPL website ahead of the match, Heinrich Klaasen said that the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) were his number one pick to qualify for the playoffs, but they failed because of playing high-risk cricket. He elaborated:
"I must say it was my number 1 pick this year too (on SRH qualifying for the playoffs). Unfortunately, that didn't come true. At the start, we wanted to play a certain brand of cricket which was obviously a high risk but very positive brand of cricket. For that, you need certain things to go your way but it didn't go. You also didn't adapt quickly enough.
"If you take a look at the last game where we chased down the total against Lucknow, that was obviously our best batting performance. We could've done that quite often. After the first two home games, we didn't get that exact wicket as well. We just didn't adapt quick enough so it hasn't been our season."
Heinrich Klaasen added that the Sunrisers Hyderabad owners invest a lot of money, and it's the responsibility of the players to repay their faith. He stated:
"We had this conversation after the game against Gujarat. Sunrisers has been part of the IPL for 13 years now. The owners give us a lot of things. They invest a lot of money. For us as players, we owe it to them in order to make the brand look very good. We want the fans to come and support us. There is a lot to play for."
While talking about his preferred batting position, Heinrich Klaasen said that he is flexible enough to bat in whatever situation his team wants him to. He asserted:
"I am quite a big believer in the situation of the game. For me, you have to be very flexible in the way you bat. I don't really mind the number but it's just that situation where I can do some more damage."
