Arshdeep Singh Abuses Sanju Samson

Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh was caught abusing his senior India teammate Sanju Samson after the latter decided against going for a catch. The incident took place when Arshdeep and Sanju Samson were representing India D against India A last week during the ongoing Duleep Trophy.

It happened during India A's first innings when Arshdeep Singh was bowling and Sanju Samson was standing behind the stumps. On the first ball of the 78th over, the fast bowler was bowling to Khaleel Ahmed who was yet to open his account.

Apart from Sanju Samson, two more fielders were standing in the slip cordon as well. On the very first ball of the over, Arshdeep Singh managed to make Khaleel edge the delivery behind the stumps. However, neither Sanju Samson nor Devdutt Padikkal, who was standing at first slip, went for the ball.

Usually, the wicketkeepers go for those catches but Samson thought that Padikkal would go for it. However, Padikkal was seemingly anticipating that Samson would go for the catch. In the end, the ball passed through the two fielders and ran away for a four.

The misunderstanding between Samson and Padikkal cost Arshdeep a wicket and he was not happy at all. As soon as the ball went past the fielders, a furious Arshdeep was heard abusing his teammates.

"Arey yaar, behen***d," said Arshdeep as he vented his anger.

Mulani scored 89 runs while Kotian scored 53. For India D, Harshit Rana picked up 4 wickets while Arshdeep Singh and Vidhwath Kaverappa claimed two wickets apiece.

In reply, India D were all out for just 183 runs. Barring Padikkal, who scored 92 runs, no other batter could make any impact. In the second innings, India A declared their innings on 380 for 3 before bowling out India D for 301 to win the contest.
