Young India National Cricket Team players Arshdeep Singh, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana have brutally mocked Pakistani bowler Abrar Ahmed in front of Sanju Samson after the team’s thrilling five-wicket victory in the Asia Cup 2025 final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 28.
While the India National Cricket Team lifted their ninth Asia Cup trophy, a cheeky moment from the post-match celebrations went viral on social media. In the 13th over of India’s chase, Abrar Ahmed had earlier stolen the spotlight with his trademark “head tilt” celebration after dismissing Sanju Samson for 24, putting India on the back foot at 62/4.

After removing Sanju Samson, Abrar's animated gesture towards the Indian dugout didn’t go unnoticed by the benched players Arshdeep Singh, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana during the nail-biting Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai. As expected, the script flipped after India crushed Pakistan by five wickets and they took the revenge of Sanju Samson in style.
Arshdeep, Jitesh, and Rana cheekily mimicked Abrar Ahmed’s signature celebration in front of Samson near the boundary ropes. Crossing their arms and shaking their heads with exaggerated expressions, the trio hilariously mocked the Pakistani spinner’s signature “get out” celebration.
However, Sanju Samson has not been involved in mocking Abrar’s trademark celebration, but when the camera focused on him, the Indian wicketkeeper gave a bright smile. Arshdeep shared the clip on Instagram with the caption “No context,” triggering a wave of reactions from fans.

India’s unbeaten Asia Cup 2025 campaign
Meanwhile, India completed a perfect Asia Cup 2025 campaign, winning all their matches and claiming the title in Dubai. In the Super Four stage, they beat Pakistan by six wickets, with Abhishek Sharma hitting a powerful 74 off 39 balls in Dubai.
Earlier, in the group stage, India had restricted Pakistan to 127/9, thanks to excellent bowling from Kuldeep Yadav (3/18) and Axar Patel (2/18). The team chased the target easily and won the game by six wickets against the Men in Green at the same venue.
The final was tougher for them. Pakistan looked in control at 113/1 but then collapsed to 146 all out, losing nine wickets for just 33 runs. Kuldeep Yadav was again the star bowler for India with 4/30, while Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel, and Varun Chakravarthy each scalped two wickets.
Mohsin Naqvi takes the trophy to Pakistan!!
India’s chase started shakily at 20/3, but Tilak Varma steadied the innings with a calm 69 off 53 balls. Finally, Rinku Singh hit the winning boundary with two balls to spare, as the Men in Blue won the final by five wickets against Pakistan to lift the trophy for the ninth time.
However, Indian players refused to accept the trophy and medals from Mohsin Naqvi, who is both the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman. They celebrated their Asia Cup 2025 triumph without the trophy and medals in Dubai.
