The Gujarat Titans (GT) head coach Ashish Nehra was left absolutely fuming after the star in-form spinner Sai Kishore made a huge blunder on the field in the match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday, April 6.

The Indian Premier League 2025 match between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans is currently underway at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad.

The incident happened in the 4th over of the innings which was bowled by the veteran Gujarat Titans (GT) pacer Ishant Sharma.

On the sixth ball of the over, Ishant Sharma bowled a length delivery from round the wicket to explosive opening batsman Abhishek Sharma, who whipped it uppishly towards mid-on.

Sai Kishore came in charging to grab the ball, but he didn't go for a catch, instead, he wanted to stop the ball from going towards the boundary. The ball landed in front of Sai Kishore and it beat him as well, leading to Abhishek getting a four.

Looking at the fielding error made by the star spinner, Gujarat Titans head coach Ashish Nehra lost his cool and was seen yelling in absolute anger.

Blow for GT! Glenn Phillips gets injured during the match

GT suffered a huge blow in the match when Glenn Phillips got injured while fielding. In the 6th over, Phillips seemingly suffered a groin injury after producing a bullet throw. He was instantly down on the ground after the throw and was taken off the field.

Speaking ahead of the match, Glenn Phillips said that playing more 50-over cricket than 20-over football doesn't matter much to him. He also lauded the bowler-centric nature of the Gujarat Titans franchise. He elaborated:

"[Playing more 50-over than T20] It doesn't matter much. I play 50-over as much as I play T20s. For me it's pretty much the same game plan as I go to a T20 batting at number 4 or anywhere in the top order."

[On GT being a bowler-centric franchise] They are absolutely brilliant. They really go about their business well. They try to keep things as clear and calm as possible. The way they do things, the owners and the staff are fantastic."

Glenn Phillips further talked of the absence of Kagiso Rabada, who returned home due to personal reasons, and also revealed his role in the team. He elaborated:

"[Missing Rabada] I think we've got an incredible depth in our bowling line up here as well. It was nice how we bowled the other day. KG is an incredible loss but we've got a lot of depth going through here and I haven't heard anything about a replacement perspective but I think we've got what we need right here right now.

"[On his own role] It's just one of those situations being a right-hander. Only 4 people can play at any 1 time from the overseas department. I'll just wait patiently for my turn as usual."
