Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan’s fitness has yet again hit the headlines, as he failed the very simple run-out chance in the ongoing International League T20 2025 (ILT20 2025) in the UAE. Azam is currently representing Desert Vipers in the ongoing ILT20 2025.
Actually, a hilarious moment unfolded during the 18th match of the ongoing ILT20 2025 between Sharjah Warriors and Desert Vipers at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah. Azam Khan has yet again created a bit of chaos on the field with his antics last week.
Azam Khan fails simple run-out chance in ILT20 2025
It all happened when the Pakistan wicketkeeper was behind the stumps while Khuzaima Bin Tanvir delivered a well-directed ball to Sharjah Warriors' batter Luke Wells, who strongly punched it towards deep mid-off and quickly called for a single on the second ball of the 18th over.

Well, Ashton Agar showed no interest, but Luke Wells was already racing towards the non-striker's end before forcing the latter to take the other side. This moment created a slight mix-up between Agar and Wells, as both batters were stranded at the non-striker's end, offering Azam Khan an easy chance for a run-out at the striker’s end during the ILT20 2025 clash in Sharjah.
However, the fielder's throw aimed at the Desert Vipers wicketkeeper's end went awry as the Pakistani cricketer failed to collect it cleanly. Instead of simply collecting the ball and going for the run-out, Azam decided to dive dramatically, almost like a football player.
But in his effort, Azam missed the ball completely. As the ball rolled away, Agar and Wells took advantage of the situation and completed an extra run, thanks to the overthrow, adding to the hilarity of the mishap with the commentators failing to understand what was going on.
