In response, India C lost two wickets for 14 runs in 9.4 overs. Sai Sudharsan was dismissed for 7 runs, while skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad added just 5 runs. Sudharsan expressed his enthusiasm about participating in the Duleep Trophy and added that he had been preparing for this tournament.

"I think it's a great pleasure and it's a prestigious tournament to be a part of. It's been great, sir. Before this, I was there in Surrey for a few games. And before that, I had a 10-15 day break to work on the batting and more on red-ball cricket," Sai Sudharsan said.

"So, I think things go well. I think the momentum which we gain from this tournament, I think it will be great for the whole year, whole domestic season here coming up. And obviously, starting with the red ball, it's even more great to have a great platform like that," he added.
