Watch: Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi bullied as Adil Rashid ranks batters and bowlers

Veteran England leg-spinner Adil Rashid recently ranked the best batters, fast bowlers, and spin bowlers among active cricketers from international cricket teams. Adil Rashid has placed Pakistan's white-ball skipper Babar Azam and fast bowler Shaheen Afridi at the bottom of their respective lists among his picks.

England star Adil Rashid is currently representing the Northern Superchargers in the ongoing Men's Hundred 2024. Rashid has taken three wickets in five matches at an average of 34.66 and an economy rate of 7.80. The Northern Superchargers are currently in fifth place in the eight-team table with six points to their tally.

Adil Rashid has represented the England cricket team in 19 Tests, 135 ODIs, and 114 T20 internationals in his career. He has taken 60 wickets in Tests, 199 wickets in ODIs, and 120 wickets in T20Is. Star spinner was part of England's ODI World Cup win in 2019 and the T20 World Cup-winning campaign in 2022.

The England team, led by Jos Buttler, suffered a 68-run defeat to India in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024. England will look to rebound during a T20I series against Australia, which is set to take place in September. Southampton, Cardiff, and Manchester will host the three T20I matches against Australia.

In a viral video, Rashid was asked to rank the five best batters. Rashid placed Babar in fifth place when the host named the Pakistan skipper. He rated former Indian skipper Virat Kohli at the top of the list, followed by England's Joe Root, Australia's Steve Smith, and New Zealand's Kane Williamson.

When asked about fast bowlers, Rashid placed Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah at the top of his list. The right-arm spinner then ranked his England teammate Jofra Archer in second place and Shaheen Afridi in last place. He placed New Zealand's Trent Boult in third place and Australia bowler Mitchell Starc in fourth place.

Adil Rashid also ranked the top spin bowlers in the same video. The veteran England cricketer placed Indian left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav in second place, followed by Afghanistan's Rashid Khan, Australia's Adam Zampa, and Pakistan's Shadab Khan.

Adil Rashid will be next seen in action when the Northern Superchargers face the Welsh Fire in the 21st match of the Men's Hundred 2024. The match will take place at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Thursday, August 8. Welsh Fire is currently in sixth place in the table, having won two out of five matches.
