Watch: Babar Azam Laughs At Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shan Masood As They Plan A Trip During Warm-Up Match
Shan Masood-led Pakistan is touring Australia for a three-match test series starting on December 14 with the first test to be played in Perth. Currently, the Pakistan team is playing a warm-up game against PM XI where Shan Masood scored a terrific double-century and took the score to 391 for Pakistan. Babar Azam scored 40 runs in the warm-up game starting well.
During the 2nd day of the game when Pakistan was fielding, there was a funny moment where skipper Shan Masood and former skippers Babar Azam and Sarfaraz Ahmed were heard on the stump mic planning a trip to visit Canberra which is the capital city of Australia. The conversation ended with Babar Azam laughing at Sarfaraz for making an assumption about the number of guys involved in the plan.
Shan Masood was first heard saying, “Ham time se ready ho jay gay (We’ll get ready on time).” To which Sarfaraz Ahmed replied, “Ap time py aa jana, ap log 3 log hongy na (Please come on time, you’ll be three guys, right?” It was then that Babar Azam could be heard laughing as he said, “Aa teeja kera aa gya (Where did the third one come from?)”

Babar Azam and Sarfaraz Ahmed were constantly enjoying and having fun during the warm-up game between Pakistan and PM XI. Sarfaraz and Babar could be heard teasing Saud Shakeel for his short height, calling him ‘Chota Don’. Babar Azam was looking relaxed after a long time since he had a tough couple of months. Under Babar’s leadership, Pakistan failed to qualify for the knockouts of two back-to-back multi-team tournaments- Asia Cup 2023 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
Pakistan Cricket Board asked Babar Azam to step down as the skipper and appointed Shan Masood as the test captain and Shaheen Shah Afridi as the T20I captain. The Men In Green will face New Zealand in a five-match T20I series after the test series with Australia concludes. The squad for the same is expected to be announced by the 25th of December.
