Bangladesh fan Tiger Robi has given an update on his health while also revealing what happened in the stadium on day one of the ongoing India vs Bangladesh Test in Kanpur.

Sporting his trademark tiger attire, Robi was in the stands from the very start of the day. However, his stay in the stadium came to a premature end as he had to be hospitalized. Reports stated that the fan was assaulted by some locals before the police intervened and brought the situation under control.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, the fan could be seen struggling to speak as he was pointing out the injuries on his body. He was surrounded by a few police officials and the medical staff. The police and the local authorities then took Robi to a nearby hospital.

While Robi himself claimed that he was assaulted by the locals, the Uttar Pradesh police quickly denied it. The police stated that the fan's health deteriorated due to dehydration and had to be admitted to Regency Hospital.

Robi has now taken a U-turn on his earlier claim and has confirmed that he was hospitalized after his health deteriorated. He delivered an update on his health while lying on the hospital bed. In the video, Robi said that he was unwell and the police took him to the hospital.

"My health deteriorated and police brought me to the hospital for treatment. I am feeling better now," said Robi while also stating that he is from the Khulna district of Bangladesh.
