Legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara was bowled off a perfect inswinger by South African great Dale Steyn in an amazing duel between the two legendary cricketers.

Sangakkara, who is known as one of the best batters of his generation took strike to another legendary fast bowler Dale Steyn during the first Test between England and West Indies at Lord's. The South African legend pitched the ball perfectly enough to make Sangakkara opt to leave the ball.

As a result, Sangakkara left the ball thinking it would miss the stumps but the ball moved just enough into the left-hander from the good length spot and hit the top of the off stump to leave Sangakkara bamboozled.

In the video, Sangakkara can also be heard accepting his dismissal as he said, "He has got me out." Former England cricketer and Sky Sports TV presenter Ian Ward was heard saying hilariously, "I gave you a dodgy guard Sanga, sorry."

Watch - Kumar Sangakkara gets bowled by Dale Steyn

Sangakkara and Steyn have come up against each other on numerous occasions in the past when they played international cricket. Both had some fantastic battles which were a treat to watch

Both the players came face-to-face against each other at the end of Day 2 of the first Test between England and West Indies at Lord's. At that time, West Indies were tottering at 79-6 in their second innings and it was a mere formality before England won the game.

England give James Anderson a perfect farewell

In the next morning, England quickly wrapped up West Indies' innings before the lunch break. West Indies were dismissed for just 136 runs, which meant England won the game by a massive margin of an innings and 114 runs.

It was a complete performance from Ben Stokes and his men as they did not allow West Indies to get ahead at any time. Earlier, in the first innings, West Indies were all out for 121 runs with none of their batters looking comfortable against England's solid bowling performance. Gus Atkinson claimed 7-45 in the first innings while James Anderson, Chris Woakes, and Ben Stokes picked up a wicket each.

In reply, England scored 371 in their first innings, thanks to half-centuries from Zak Crawley, Joe Root, Ollie Pope, Harry Brook, and Jamie Smith. Jayden Seales picked up 4-77 for West Indies while Jason Holder and Gudakesh Motie picked up two wickets apiece.

The match will be remembered as the farewell game of England's great James Anderson. Anderson's international career spanned 22 years and it finally ended at Lord's with England's win. The legendary fast bowler picked up 3-32 in his last international innings and finished with 704 wickets in his Test career. He finished as the third-highest wicket-taker in Test history with just Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne above him.
