Indian wicket-keeper Dhruv Jurel replaced Rishabh Pant in the Indian squad for the West Indies home test and went on to show a masterclass performance behind the wickets.
India is hosting the West Indies for a two-match test series, with the first match underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from the 2nd of October. The Indian team have made some changes in the form of Dhruv Jurel and the return of spinner Kuldeep Yadav.
WATCH: Dhruv Jurel turns Superman at Ahmedabad with stunning grabs behind the wicket
Dhruv Jurel will have to prove himself in all areas to retain a place in the Indian red-ball side, as Rishabh Pant is likely to return ahead of the next series against South Africa. To prove his merit as an Indian wicket-keeper batter, Jurel looks very determined.
After a stunning hundred backed by another splendid half-century for India A in the series against Australia A, Dhruv Jurel now turns superman with the gloves. In the second over of the match, he leapt towards the left side, grabbing a ball out of the second slip region.

Mohammad Siraj's second-to-last delivery of the second over of his spell went down the leg side to Tegnarine Chanderpaul, and the left-hander nicked it away, but Jurel's splendid diving grab helped India draw the first blood.

Kuldeep Yadav makes long-awaited Test return
The Indian left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav is known for his radiant charm with the white ball; however, his red-ball career has been short-lived. Kuldeep made his red-ball return a long time ago; however, he has played only 13 games so far in his 8-year career.
Kuldeep was picked as one of India's leading spinners in the India vs England, Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy squad. However, despite being picked, he was not part of the playing XI for any of the 5 games. This led to widespread criticism of the Indian coach Gautam Gambhir.
However, this time in the Asia Cup, Kuldeep made his T20I comeback after a nearly one-year absence. The spinner was unstoppable in the tournament as he picked 17 wickets in 7 games. Finally, the player has also made his Test return after an absence of one year, since he last played a red-ball game against New Zealand in October 2024.
Mohammed Siraj toys with the West Indies top-order in Ahmedabad
Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj has been on fire with his stunning performance. The pacer missed the Asia Cup after having contributed immensely to the iconic win at The Oval in the final match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
Siraj has been paired alongside Jasprit Bumrah for the first Test, while Nitish Kumar Reddy returns as India's third seamer. Bowling with the new ball on his much-known turf at Ahmedabad, Siraj picked three early wickets of Chanderpaul, Alick Athanaze and Brandon King.
He literally toyed with the Windies' top order in his first spell, while Jasprit Bumrah too seemed promising with the new ball on another occasion. The supposed green track has also helped Siraj.
