Watch: Dinesh Karthik advises KL Rahul to open clothing shop, Rohit Sharma a sneaker store

Former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik is enjoying his life after international cricket. Currently, he is doing a few interesting gigs for Cricbuzz besides doing commentary stints with Sky Sports. He was recently in England doing commentary during Test matches.

He is a very happy-go-lucky person finding peace with whatever he is doing in life. Having played international cricket for nearly 20 years, Dinesh Karthik has now also become an expert in making pinpoint analyses of games that he is watching.

In his recent stint with Cricbuzz, Karthik named Indian cricketers and what business they do in the future. Dinesh Karthik assigned KL Rahul to open a clothing shop or a business praising his dressing sense and style in the process.

"Clothing store I think it will be KL Rahul He had a good dressing sense good style". He then chose Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya as players who can run a jewelry shop saying "Two people can do it Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant, both can open a jewelry shop, they have good ideas on what to do with a jewelry shop".

On opening a restaurant business he chose Virat Kohli saying "I would say Virat Kohli but he already has a restaurant so no point giving him an idea" said Karthik.

Virat Kohli's business list in terms of his ownership is One8 and WROGN. Virat started One8 as a sportswear brand and slowly diversified the business to a chain of restaurants named One8 Commune.

Dinesh Karthik chose Ravichandran Ashwin to open a bookstore and turn it into a business. He also recently published a book by the name "I Have The Streets". Besides playing cricket, Ashwin has several other commitments and he also runs a talk show by the name of Kutti Stories on YouTube.

He chose MS Dhoni to start an incredible football turf business. DK also spoke about Dhoni's passion for football. He also owns the Chennai franchise in the ISL named Chennaiyin FC.

"Cricket turg to bohot hotey hai but football turf, MS Dhoni. He will also improve his football skills even more, who knows what he can do," said Dinesh Karthik on Dhoni.

Dinesh Karthik then chose himself to start an electronic gadget shop. He spoke about his interests in gadgets nominating himself to run that business. He then chose Rohit Sharma to start a business in footwear apparel.

His choice to run an ice cream parlous business was an interesting one. He said that Yuzvendra Chahal can run the business well as he loves eating ice creams. He also spoke about his love for food in general and was amazed at how despite eating so much he does not put on weight.

Dinesh Karthik lastly picked Sanju Samson to start a tea business. He spoke about how Kerala as a state is known for its best tea and coffee plantations and how Sanju hailing from the same state would be perfect to start that business.

Talking about the Indian cricket team, they recently lost the ODI series against Sri Lanka under Gautam Gambhir which came as a very surprising defeat after they won the T20 World Cup recently in June. The Indian team would return to playing cricket with a Test series against Bangladesh that would start their home season. They play against New Zealand at home before playing the BGT series against Australia from November to January.
