"Guys, congratulations on a great series win. Congratulations to Surya as well. Outstanding captaincy and more important as well. I asked for something before the start of the game, and you absolutely delivered it. This is what happens when you keep fighting. You don't give up. This kind of game happens, and the only way these games can happen is when we keep fighting on every delivery and for every run. And this was the example," Gambhir said.

Suryakumar Yadav and Rinku Singh played crucial roles with the ball in India's victory in the recent match. Rinku and Suryakumar picked up two wickets each when Sri Lanka needed nine runs off 12 deliveries. Sri Lanka managed to tie India's score of 137 runs, leading to a Super Over finish in the final T20I game.

Washington Sundar took two wickets and conceded just two runs in the Super Over. The Indian T20I skipper then secured the victory with a sweep shot on the first ball. Suryakumar was awarded "Player of the Series" for his outstanding performances and leadership throughout the recently concluded T20I series.

Make Sure Fitness Levels Are Right Up There - Gautam Gambhir

Gautam Gambhir advised players who are not part of the Indian ODI team to maintain their skills and fitness during the break. The 42-year-old urged the players to return to the team with high fitness levels and a strong skill set for the Bangladesh series.

"Some of the players who won't be part of the 50-over format will have a longer break so make sure when you come back for the Bangladesh series, keep your skills & fitness level high - you don't want to come for that series thinking, okay, I can just turn up & probably deliver for the team - so make sure fitness levels are right up there," Gambhir added.

Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team in the upcoming three-match ODI series during the same tour. The first match between India and Sri Lanka will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday, August 2. The remaining two matches are also scheduled to be played at the same venue.
