India National Cricket Team all-rounder Axar Patel played a vital role for his team with the bat in the ongoing second T20I against the South Africa National Cricket Team. The match between the two teams is taking place at St George's Park in Gqeberha.

Axar Patel, who was promoted up the order, yet again came to the rescue for the India National Cricket Team. The all-rounder has turned into the crisis man for the team and he yet again did the same for his team. He bailed the team out of the trouble after they lost early wickets and put the innings back on the track.

With the way Patel was batting, he looked all set for a big innings but he was at the receiving end of an unfortunate dismissal in the game. On the 5th ball of the 12th over, Nqabayomzi Peter bowled a delivery to which Hardik Pandya drilled straight back to the bowler.

Peter got his right hand to it as the ball flicked his fingers and went on to crash into the stumps. Axar Patel was way outside his crease as the India National Cricket Team lost their 5th wicket early and came under massive pressure.

Axar Patel ended with an inning of 27 runs off 21 balls. He looked in great touch and had a strike rate of around 130 in his innings. The all-rounder also hit 4 fours during his knock and put his team back in the game when they lost early wickets.

After the wicket of Patel, the India National Cricket Team couldn't score runs freely with the bat. South Africa National Cricket Team bowlers kept chipping in at regular intervals and put visitors under massive pressure as they couldn't score runs freely with the bat.

Hardik Pandya, in the end, tried his best with the bat, but he couldn't take his team to a big total. He struggled with his timing right throughout his innings and remained unbeaten on 39 runs off 45 balls. He had a strike rate of just around 86, which is well above his standards. The all-rounder also managed to hit just 4 fours and 1 six in the innings in the second T20I.

Apart from Hardik Pandya and Patel, Tilak Varma (20) also contributed as India National Cricket Team ended with a total of 124 runs for 6 in 20 overs. For South Africa National Cricket Team almost every bowler chipped in with wickets to trouble the Indian batters.
