Zia-ul-Haq Picks 3 Wickets for 16 Runs in MLC 2025 Clash
Zia-ul-Haq made the most of the conditions at the Oakland Coliseum. He finished his 3 overs for just 16 runs while picking up three wickets, including David Warner, Heinrich Klaasen, and Sikandar Raza. He played a key role in dismantling Seattle Orcas’ top order.
Heinrich Klaasen, who came into Major League Cricket 2025 after scoring a century in the final match of IPL 2025, has struggled. In the opening game, he managed 17 runs off 13 balls with a four and a six before being dismissed. He was bowled for a golden duck off his first delivery in the next game.
Klaasen’s dip in form has been a factor in his team's rough start. The Seattle-based franchise has suffered heavy defeats in both of their opening games, leaving them winless early in their MLC 2025 campaign.
TSK Bowlers Help Team to Massive 93-Run Win Over Seattle
The Texas Super Kings secured a dominant 93-run victory over the Seattle Orcas in their MLC 2025 clash. Defending a target of 154, TSK's bowlers dismantled the Orcas' batting lineup with early dismissals of openers David Warner (9) and Kyle Mayers (0).
The middle order collapsed soon after, reducing the Orcas to 21/5. Aaron James scored 17, but the innings never recovered. Seattle were bowled out for just 60 runs in 13.5 overs. Zia-ul-Haq, Nandre Burger, and Noor Ahmad each took three wickets in a clinical bowling performance for TSK.
This was Seattle Orcas' second heavy defeat of the season, following a five-wicket loss to Washington Freedom. With their campaign off to a poor start, captain Heinrich Klaasen’s return to form will be crucial for the Orcas to turn things around.
