Indian wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan's video went viral as he was seen imitating the former Indian legendary spinner Harbhajan Singh's action during an over in the county match between Nottinghamshire and Somerset.

This is Ishan Kishan's debut season in the English County Championship, where he is representing Nottinghamshire in two games.

Bowling from over the wicket, Ishan Kishan imitated former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh's iconic over-the-head action as he bowled his first delivery to Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who was then batting on 146.

The bowler continued his over with right-arm over-the-wicket off-spin bowling; however, he later switched to round-the-wicket and pitched three perfect leg-spinners to end his over. He finished with figures of 0/1 in his county match with the ball.

Ishan Kishan shines with twin fifties for Nottinghamshire

Ishan Kishan is playing his first-ever English County Championship, and he shone in the very first season. Ishan Kishan, the left-handed batter, is among the several young Indian players who are currently a part of the County Championship.

Kishan has played two matches in the English County Cricket so far and has scored 2 half-centuries playing for Nottinghamshire. Even in this match, where his team went on to score a huge 509 runs, Ishan delivered in the middle order, building onto a vital partnership with centurion Jack Haynes.

He scored 77 runs after facing 128 balls, as he added crucial runs through the middle phase of the innings. The match was eventually drawn; however, Nottinghamshire used 8 bowlers in the second innings of play.

Ishan Kishan's first-class record

Ishan Kishan has a great record when it comes to first-class cricket as a middle-order batter. Though he has played mostly for Jharkhand since his debut in 2013, when he was just 15 years old, he has had limited opportunities.

Ishan Kishan has played 58 first-class matches in his career, as he scored 3447 runs at an average of 37.87. Kishan has scored 8 hundreds with the highest score of 273.

Kishan made his debut for India in the longest format of the game against the West Indies back in July 2023 and played two matches in the series. He has batted wisely for 78 runs and has a batting average of 78.00 in international Tests.

Indian Players in the current season of the English County Championship

Several Indian players have signed for the English County Championship this season, including Ishan Kishan and CSK star Ruturaj Gaikwad, who can easily be named as the pick among the batters.

Indian youngsters Tilak Varma, Ishan Kishan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Khaleel Ahmed have been among the players who signed for different county sides. Tilak and Ishan both scored half-centuries in their debut county season.

Khaleel Ahmed picked up the big wicket of the experienced English batter Jonny Bairstow while starring for Essex against Yorkshire. However, that remained his only scalp for the match.
