Yashasvi Jaiswal shattered an impeccable double century in the 1st innings of India vs England 2nd Test. However, the Indian opener could not replicate his knock in the 2nd innings. England pacer James Anderson dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal with an edge at slips.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a wonderful knock of 209 off 290 balls in 1st innings of IND vs ENG 2nd Test in Vizag. The left-handed batter slammed his second Test ton and first Test double century to astonish fans across the country.
During his knock of 290, Jaiswal stormed 19 boundaries and 6 sixes. The Mumbai batsman was the only batting asset for the team in the 1st innings, as other Indian batters failed to score even a fifty. The Rajasthan Royals opener single-handedly drove the scoreboard to 396-10 in 1st innings.

Yashasvi Jaiswal arrived on the field with a lot of confidence in the 2nd innings, However, England pacer James Anderson dismissed him cheaply at 17 runs. In the 1st session of Day 3, the right-arm pacer overpowered Jaiswal with a soft dismissal at slips.
Anderson got Jaiswal’s edge at an off-side length delivery and the ball went directly to Joe Root at first slip. Have a look at the video below.
India lose openers cheaply in 2nd innings
Meanwhile, India lost both openers Rohit Sharma (13) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (17) cheaply in the 2nd innings. Earlier, the home side piled up 369-10 in 1st innings with Jaiswal’s double ton.
Later, they bundled out England for 253-10 in 2nd innings with Jasprit Bumrah’s stunning six-wicket haul. For England, Zak Crawley slammed 76 runs while Ben Stokes added 47. Spinner Kuldeep Yadav grabbed 3 wickets. India earned a lead of 225 runs after 1st innings.

India pick Kuldeep Yadav over Ravindra Jadeja, Rajat Patidar over KL Rahul
In the absence of injured Ravindra Jadeja, Team India has picked 3 spinners in the form of Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav in IND vs ENG 2nd Test. They have also replaced pacer Mohammed Siraj with Mukesh Kumar. Among batters, Rajat Patidar has replaced injured KL Rahul in the middle-order.
For England, senior pacer James Anderson has replaced Mark Wood in the pace department in the 2nd Test. Debutant Shoaib Bashir has been picked over Jack Leach as the latter could not feature in the match due to an injury.

England leads the five-match series 1-0 after winning the opening game by 28 runs. India vs England Test series will witness 5 games between both sides. The series will conclude with the final game on March 7.
