Jasprit Bumrah Stuns Zak Crawley

The attacking mindset from the Indian cricket team carried out from Day 3 to Day 4 at Lord’s, as Jasprit Bumrah unleashed a vicious delivery aimed right at Zak Crawley’s body in the ongoing third Test against England. It was a pure thunderbolt, but Jasprit Bumrah failed to do Pat Cummins's magic.

The ball, angled in from a tricky length, exploded off the pitch and reared up sharply into Zak Crawley’s gloves just as he leaned forward to defend. The force of the ball jolted him, smashing into his fingers and lobbing off awkwardly toward the leg side.

Jasprit Bumrah misses Pat Cummins-style magic at Lord’s

Bumrah, sensing a chance, charged in full sprint and threw himself into a sliding attempt to grab the ball before it hit the ground. But luck wasn’t on Bumrah and India’s side. The ball flicked the fast bowler’s fingertips and fell onto the ground, and Crawley got the lifeline.

Crawley winced, immediately taking off his gloves in pain, clearly shaken by the impact. The blow looked serious, and the physio soon came out to check on him.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah’s efforts immediately reminded fans of Pat Cummins' incredible reflex catch earlier this month in the second Test between Australia and the West Indies. In that game, Cummins pulled off a stunner by diving forward to catch Kaecy Carty off his own bowling.

The Australian skipper showed incredible awareness and athleticism, diving low and cleanly snapping up the ball just inches from the turf. It was one of the highlights of the series and instantly went viral.

Jasprit Bumrah donates his shoes to MCC Museum

Meanwhile, Bumrah donated his shoes to the MCC Museum after taking a five-wicket haul on Day 2 of the ongoing third Test against England. The Indian pace star donated the very shoes he sported during his brilliant spell at Lord’s.

His autographed shoes are now placed in the upper section of the museum, which features cricket gear used by some of the biggest legends of the game. While Bumrah donated the shoes to the museum, Bumrah has kept the match ball as a personal memento of his 13th five-wicket haul in overseas Tests—the most by any Indian bowler.

Jasprit Bumrah reveals his favourite Test moment at Lord’s

On the other hand, Bumrah also revealed the most special moment of his Test career, and surprisingly, it is not about taking wickets. Bumrah, who has taken 215 wickets and 15 five-wicket hauls in 47 Tests, said that his favorite memory came with the bat during the 2021 Lord’s Test against England. At that time, India was in big trouble at 209/8.

But then, Bumrah and fellow bowler Mohammed Shami did something incredible. They built a stunning 89-run partnership for the ninth wicket. Shami scored a brilliant half-century, while Bumrah stayed not out on 34. Their effort shocked the England team at Lord’s.

On Day 4, India has picked up two wickets so far, thanks to Mohammed Siraj’s brilliance, but the pitch at Lord’s has been tricky, with uneven bounce causing problems for the batters. Zak Crawley has survived a few close calls and has had some luck on his side. England will now be hoping that he makes the most of it and scores big to steady their innings against India at Lord’s.
