While Jasprit Bumrah loves to maintain his usual calm demeanor on the field, he could not stop himself from giving Mehidy Hasan Miraz a send-off on Monday (September 30).

The incident took place during Bangladesh's first innings in the ongoing second Test between India and Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. After rain and a wet outfield did not let any action to take place on days two and three, the Test finally resumed on day four. On day one of the game, only 35 overs were bowled.

Bangladesh resumed the proceedings on 107 for 3 with Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim at the crease. They could add only five more runs before Jasprit Bumrah castled Rahim to pick up his first wicket in the game.

Jasprit Bumrah's second wicket of the game was Mehidy. The India pace spearhead sent back the Bangladesh allrounder in the 70th over of the innings. Mehidy was batting on 20 runs off 41 balls before he ended up edging a delivery from Jasprit Bumrah towards the slip cordon.

It was a brilliant delivery from Jasprit Bumrah that rose sharply and did not give Mehidy any room to play his shot. The right-handed batsman wanted to defend the ball but was beaten by the bounce as he edged the ball towards Shubman Gill at first slip.

And as soon as Gill caught the ball, Bumrah decided to give Mehidy a send-off. He ran towards Mehidy and clapped in front of his face before joining his teammates to celebrate the dismissal.

For India, Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 for 50 runs while Akash Deep, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Mohammed Siraj claimed two wickets apiece. At the time of writing this report, India were on 104/1 in the 11th over. Yashasvi Jaiswal was batting on 68 runs off just 41 balls while Gill was unbeaten on 11.
