West Indies speedster Jayden Seales gave a cold stare to Team India opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal during the second and final Test between the two teams. The incident between Seales and Jaiswal happened during India’s first innings on Day 1 (Friday, October 10) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Yashasvi displayed a clinical batting performance that kept India firmly in control on the opening day. He scored a well-paced century, while Sai Sudharsan looked impressive with a half-century. Meanwhile, KL Rahul, who scored a century in the first Test at Ahmedabad, could not capitalize on his promising start.

Jayden Seales Fails to Take Wickets in India’s First Innings So Far
Earlier in the first session, KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal added 58 runs for the opening wicket. Jomel Warrican dismissed Rahul for 38 off 54 balls. Rahul was stumped after attempting to charge down the track. Despite that breakthrough, the West Indies struggled to create further chances in the session.
Warrican then broke the 193-run partnership between Jaiswal and Sai Sudharsan. The left-arm spinner trapped Sudharsan in front of the stumps. The left-handed batter had scored 87 runs off 105 balls, including 12 boundaries.
At the time of writing, India were 257/2 after 70 overs, with Jaiswal (127) and Shubman Gill (5) at the crease. Warrican has taken two wickets for the West Indies, while Jayden Seales conceded 45 runs in his 13 overs without taking a wicket.
India Eyeing A Big Total in First Innings During Delhi Test
India are eyeing a big total in the first innings. They secured an emphatic innings-and-140-run win in Ahmedabad. A victory in Delhi would not only seal the series 2-0 but also give Shubman Gill his first home series triumph as captain.
India will record a Test series win on home soil for the first time since their 0-3 defeat to New Zealand last year. The Men in Blue have remained unbeaten against the West Indies in Tests since 2002 and at the Delhi venue since 1987.
On the other hand, the visitors are under pressure to end a two-decade-long drought against India, having suffered six defeats in their last seven Test matches. Head coach Daren Sammy even likened their struggles to “cancer.” The West Indies has recorded 13 sub-200 totals in their previous 15 innings.
