Wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma was mocked by the DJ at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai during the high-voltage clash between CSK and RCB. The incident was an unexpected one that got the crowd roaring.
The incident happened during the 18th over of RCB's innings when Jitesh Sharma was dismissd by the left-arm quick Khaleel Ahmed with Ravindra Jadeja taking an excellent diving catch at deep midwicket.
As the RCB wicketkeeper-batter was walking back ot the pavilion, the DJ decided to have some fun and played the song “Dosa, Idli, Sambhar, Chutney Chutney”, which has become popular on social media. The crowd at the stadium quickly understood the context and cheered in numbers.

The song is seen as a mocking sterotype towards the South Indian culture and is highly popular on social media playforms. However, it also has a connection with Jitesh which prompted the DJ to play it after he was dismissed.
Jitesh Sharma was dismissed for 12 off 6 balls. He struck a four and a six in his first innings in RCB colors. While he played well during this cameo, he perished while trying to increase the scoring rate.
Context behind playing this song
In a video released by RCB a few days ago, Jitesh Sharma was asked about the first thing that comes to the mind when he thinks about Chennai. It was during this moment that Jitesh sang, “Dosa, Idli, Sambhar, Chutney Chutney” in a tone that didn't please CSK fans at all.
The users slammed him for making a mockery of Chennai's culture and the crowd in the stadium didn't forget it. Jitesh was also criticised for his comments on MS Dhoni. Jitesh called Adam Gilchrist as his idol, however, according to one of his old videos, Dhoni is an idol for him.
CSK's fans are highly passionate towards their team and Dhoni and were all over Jitesh for his comments. As a result, they celebrated his wicket with great passsion and mocked Jitesh Sharma as he walked back to the dressing room.
RCB trumps CSK
RCB created history by defeating CSK at Chepauk to register their second win of the season. It was a brilliant performance from Royal Challengers who had not won a sing;e game here since 2008.
RCB batted first and scored 196-7. Rajat Patidar top-scored with a fine half-century on a tricky pitch while the other batters also made vital contributions. Left-arm wristspinnner Noor Ahmed continued his good form and finished with 3-36.
In response, CSK stumbled right from the start as Josh Hazlewood picked up the two early wickets with the new ball. Their middle order failed miserably as Rachin Ravindra stayed at one end.
After Ravindra was dismissed for 41, there were hadly any contributions for them. MS Dhoni provided the late cameo with a fine 30 off just 16 balls but the Super Kings lost the match by 50 runs.
