India’s MVP Ravindra Jadeja made sure that he entered the wickets column in the second innings of the ongoing Test against England. The last game of the series between the teams is taking place at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah made the England batters look clueless and picked 8 wickets. However, after that Joe Root along with Shoaib Bashir batted well and frustrated Indian bowlers a lot as they defended the ball well and also scored runs.
With the way both Joe Root and Shoaib Bashir batted, it seemed that they would make India bat again. But Ravindra Jadeja brought his team back in the game and removed the England spinner. The need of the hour for India was something special and that was what the all-rounder did.
Ravindra Jadeja bowled a full and fat delivery around off to which Shoaib Bashir held back to negate the spin. By the time the batter brought his bat down, the ball skimmed the off-pole and gave India their 9th wicket of the day.
What caught the attention of many was, after getting bowled, Shoaib Bashir thought of review as he thought he was given out caught behind. The ball was close to the outside edge and just shaved the off stump.
Shoaib Bashir signaled for review and Joe Root, at the other end, was left in splits. He had his hand on his head and signaled to his partner that he was in fact bowled and not out caught.

Shoaib Bashir batted well during his stay at the crease. The England spinner scored 13 runs off 29 balls and added 48 runs with Joe Root. During the time he was batting alongside the premier batter, England looked in the game but the class of the Indian bowlers was too much for them to handle. The delivery by Ravindra Jadeja to Bashir surely was the ball of the innings.
Joe Root perishes for 84 as India wins the game by innings and 64 runs; Ravindra Jadeja, Ashwin, Bumrah and Kuldeep shine with ball
After Shoaib Bashir got out, Joe Root brought out his attacking best and played some crisp shots in the innings. However, his innings didn’t last long as Kuldeep Yadav removed him to help his team win the game by a massive margin.
Kuldeep Yadav bowled a delivery to which Joe Root came down the track and tried to hit the ball out of the ground. He mistimed the lofted shot and found Jasprit Bumrah at the long-on, who took a comfortable catch to send the batter packing.
Joe Root ended with an innings of 84 runs off 128 balls and with his wicket, England got bundled out just 195 balls and lost the game by the margin of innings and 64 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin picked a fifer whereas Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav got two scalps. Ravindra Jadeja also chipped in with one scalp as the hosts clinched the series by the margin of 4-1.
