Jofra Archer bags two wickets and takes a blinder

Archer had a forgettable outing in the previous T20I match against India National Cricket Team in Chennai as he leaked 60 runs in his four overs quota and managed to take just one wicket. It was the worst-ever performance by the pacer in his career.

However, Jofra Archer being a class act, made a stellar comeback with the ball in the third T20I by forgetting his nightmarish outing in Chennai.

In his four overs in Rajkot, he dismissed Sanju Samson and Axar Patel at crucial junctures to bring the momentum towards his team. He also gave away just 33 runs.

Other than that, Jofra Archer showcased a fielding masterclass by dismissing the explosive opener Abhishek Sharma with his brilliant catch.

On the 4th ball of the 4th over, Brydon Carse bowled a length delivery on middle-leg to India batter. Abhishek Sharma stepped out and made room looking to punch it on the up again, but didn't time it right, which meant that the ball went up in the air.

Jofra Archer kept his eyes on the ball as he ran to his right from mid-off and he managed to pull off a magnificent reverse-cupped catch to dismiss Abhishek Sharma for 14-ball 24.

We bowled really well as a unit - Adil Rashid

The English spinner Adil Rashid was happy with the performance of the bowlers after the victory in the third T20I match. Speaking to the broadcasters, Rashid said that he troubled the Indian batters with his variations.

While talking about the pitch, he said that the surface was quite slow when England were batting and the ball wasn't coming onto the bat easily. Adil Rashid elaborated:

"We bowled really well as a unit. The ball gripped and turned (on the Varma dismissal). As you play more and get experience, you start developing things. That’s one of my strengths - the variations. It looked slow when we were batting, a bit low, and it wasn’t coming on to the bat, so as a bowling unit, we had to adjust our lengths.

"Varied my pace and got the result. I work hard in the nets, hopefully I keep working on it and keep improving. We had a couple of overs left so me and Wood saw what we could get there, those 15-20 runs were crucial."
