Former West Indies National Cricket Team all-rounder Kieron Pollard stole the limelight with his antics in the Abu Dhabi T10 game between UP Nawabs and New York Strikers. The match between the teams took place on Wednesday (27th November) at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Pollard didn't have a great outing with the bat and ball in the Abu Dhabi T10 game between UP Nawabs and New York Strikers. But he made sure that he came up with a unique antic that left many in splits and made him the headlines for what he did.

Pollard, who was struggling to get going in the game with the bat, came up with a different way to score but couldn't. He used the crease pretty deep and went behind the stumps to play the shot. Not only this, he also went past the wide line and played the lofted shot but failed.

Kieron Pollard couldn't make a big impact with the bat as he looked torrid right through his innings

Pollard couldn't make a big impact with the bat as he looked torrid right through his innings. The all-rounder ended with an innings of 12 runs off 21 balls and batted with a strike rate of around 57, which was well below the standards set by him.

Dewald Brevis was the top run-getter for the Kieron Pollard-les New York Strikers. He played an innings of 33 runs, and that powered the team to a total of 74 runs in 10 overs. For UP Nawabs, Binura Fernando and Tymal Mills were the pick of the bowlers as he picked two wickets each and restricted the opposition to a low total.

With the ball too, Pollard and his team didn't have the kind of outing they would have wanted. They struggled to take early wickets as Rahmanullah Gurbaz (31*) and Avishka Fernando (17) set a great platform for their team and ended up putting a 42-run partnership at the top.

After that, Andre Fletcher (17*) made sure that he did the unfinished job and took his to the win. Up Nawabs chased the target with 9 wickets in hand and went on to finish the match inside 7 overs, bagging two crucial points in the tournament.

Pollard didn't bowl much in the game, as he bowled just three balls and had away 4 runs. For New York Strikers, Sunil Narine was the only one who picked the wicket and kept his team in the hunt but the target wasn't big as they looked down and dusted in the game right from the start.

The Kieron Pollard-led side would be hoping to win their next few games and make a strong comeback in the tournament. They are currently placed 8th on the points table with just 2 wins out of the 5 matches that they have played in the Abu Dhabi T10 League.
