Mumbai Indians received a massive boost ahead of their game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah joined the team after missing the first four games due to a back injury.

Jasprit Bumrah joined the Mumbai Indians camp on the eve of the match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The game between the two teams will be taking place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday (7th April).

After joining the team, Jasprit Bumrah didn't waste much time as he was seen joining the team huddle before their practice session for the game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The fast bowler was welcomed by mentor, Kieron Pollard, uniquely.

Kieron Pollard lifted Jasprit Bumrah and said: "Welcome Mufasa". As he did that, the entire Mumbai Indians contingent welcomed the premier pacer with a round of applause. The game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru will mark Bumrah's return to cricket after 3 months. He got injured during the last game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 which took place at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney.

After that, he was advised to rest and missed the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. There were reports which claimed that Bumrah would be fit by the time the IPL started. But he took a little more time than expected to recover.
