Shaheen Afridi smashed an unbeaten 33 off just 16 balls against India in Dubai on September 14 and followed it up with a rapid 29 off 14 balls against the UAE on September 17. Kuldeep admitted that the left-arm pacer’s fearless hitting has become a game-changing factor for Pakistan.

Kuldeep Yadav said at the pre-match press conference, “Why would I tell you that? Obviously, when you are bowling, you try to read the opposition batters. There are some good batters who play well. Shaheen Afridi bahut acha khel rahe hai is samay. Pichle 2 matches mein bahut tudai kar raha hai (Shaheen Afridi is playing very well in the last two matches). He has played many attacking shots.”

From every game you improve and learn how to get better. Whether you take five or six wickets in bowling, there is always hope that you can do better things. Sometimes you get wickets, sometimes you don't.”

The wrist-spinner said that he looks for wickets in the middle overs, Axar often bowls in the powerplay to control runs, and Varun adds variety with his mystery spin. He also revealed that they share inputs about the pitch and conditions, and this teamwork has made them a strong and reliable spin attack for the Men in Blue in the shortest format of the game.

Kuldeep signed off by saying, “Everyone knows their job, and my job is to take wickets in the middle overs. We are very experienced in the T20 format and understand our roles very well. It's a good combination, and we are very happy with that.”
