Watch: Kuldeep Yadav Dismisses Minod Bhanuka To Claim His 2nd Wicket Of The Over

Left-arm leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav has got off to a brilliant start to his campaign in Sri Lanka.

Leading into the ODI series, Kuldeep was under seven pressure to make a strong case for himself ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup.

And, the ‘chinaman’ hasn’t put a foot wrong yet.

Kuldeep Yadav took just 2 overs to get into the act as he claimed both well-set batters in Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Minod Bhanuka within a space of 4 balls in his 3rd over.

His first victim was Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who in an attempt to swat a floated delivery outside off-stump, ended up miscuing it completely to give a simple catch to Shikhar Dhawan at short mid-on.

The second dismissal that Kuldeep affected was a perfect spinner’s delight.

It was a tossed-up delivery outside off, one that enticed Bhanuka into a drive. The drive proved to be an ill-fated one as it took the outside edge of his bat to land straight into the hands of Prithvi Shaw at first slip.

Kuldeep’s back-to-back wickets of a couple of set batters pushed Sri Lanka on the backfoot.

And, at the time of writing, they had lost one more batsman in the form of Dhananjaya de Silva, who, in an attempt to loft Krunal Pandya inside-out, ended up hitting straighter to give Bhuvneshwar Kumar a simple catch at long-on.
