Kuldeep Yadav has been dismissed by James Anderson in the ongoing fourth Test match at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association Stadium in Ranchi. The ball was angling back to the left-hander and he rode the bounce and dropped it on his toes, the ball went on to hit the base of the stumps ending his gritty knock of 28 off 131 deliveries. Kuldeep Yadav added 76 runs with wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel for the eighth wicket.

James Anderson now only needs two wickets to become the first pacer to take 700 wickets in Test cricket and he will likely complete the milestone in this Test series. He has taken the wicket of Indian skipper Rohit Sharma before picking up Kuldeep Yadav in this innings. James Anderson has been one of the most consistent bowlers for England and he is proving himself even at the age of 41 by taking crucial wickets for his team in the Test series.

James Anderson has taken eight wickets in this series at an average of 32.88 and only needs two more wickets to complete the milestone of taking 700 wickets in Test cricket becoming the first pacer to do so. He started his Test career back in 2003. In 2015, he retired from white-ball cricket to focus on Test cricket full-time and since then he has been a regular member of the English Test squad. Even at the age of 41, he is the No.8 bowler in ICC Test rankings.

The wicket of Kuldeep Yadav was a bit unusual as the ball kept just a tad bit low on the bounce getting the toe end of his bat and the ball hit on his toe and went on to hit the base of the stumps. Kuldeep Yadav made a gritty 28 off 131 deliveries and added 76 runs with Dhruv Jurel for the eighth wicket. James Anderson has already taken a couple of wickets in this innings which includes one of the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma

James Anderson is brilliant with the new ball and England skipper Ben Stokes has used him accordingly. However, the Indian team is nearing 300 with Dhruv Jurel just a few runs away from his maiden Test century. If India manages to take a lead or reduce England’s lead to anywhere between 25-30 runs, they can turn the match in their favour and win the series with one match to spare.

India has not lost a Test series at home since 2012 and they have won 16 consecutive Test series at home and are looking to win the 17th one by defeating England in the ongoing series. India is already leading the series 2-1 and only needs one more win to seal the series completely. They will also be the winners if they can avoid a defeat in this series against England.

India lost the first Test at Hyderabad by 28 runs but then won two matches on the trot in Vizag by 106 runs and in Rajkot by a record 434 runs. The hosts are looking to win the match and seal the series for them getting themselves up in the WTC Points Table.
