With only three days to go before stepping on the cricket field, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal decided to have some fun on Thursday. The BCCI shared the video via their official Twitter handle. Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal played a game of charades where the former made an attempt to make his partner guess the names of four Indian players merely through gestures. The first of the three ODIs against Sri Lanka begins on the 18th in Colombo.

Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal shared a brilliant camaraderie as the former gave hilarious descriptions of Ishant Sharma, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and Rishabh Pant. In turn, Chahal responded with a banter of his own. Both the wrists-spinners will hope to translate their on-field bonding into a deadly partnership of spin-bowling again. Both Chahal and Kuldeep have not been consistent enough in recent times. With the T20 World Cup looming, the pair needs to showcase their magic of the old.

Meanwhile, Deep Dasgupta commented on the subject recently by stating that he does not see Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal in the same line-up for the T20 World Cup. Instead, the cricketer-turned-commentator put Rahul Chahar ahead of Chahal, with Kuldeep being even low in preference. Hence, the spin-bowling pair’s future looks uncertain.

“At the moment, it looks unlikely. To be very honest, I see Rahul Chahar ahead of Yuzi (Yuzvendra Chahal). A lot will depend on the Sri Lanka series and obviously on the IPL as well. As for Kuldeep, he has not been the preferred bowler for more than a year and a half. So, it looks unlikely to me as of now. I don’t know what will happen in six months,” Dasgupta stated.
