England's vice-captain Harry Brook succumbed to an outstanding catch from Marco Jansen during the final match of Group B in the ongoing Champions Trophy. It was a stunning catch from Marco Jansen who ran all the way from long-on and took the catch perfectly in the end.

It was a tossed-up delivery on leg stump by the left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj which Harry Brook looked to attack by trying to hit over the leg side. However, he didn't get the required elevation which left the ball in the air for a long time.

Marco Jansen spotted the opportunity and sprinted to his right. He went on to take the catch cleanly while sliding on his knees. It was a perfect catch from the fast bowler who had an excellent day earlier with the ball.

Watch: Marco Jansen takes a stunner to dismiss Harry Brook

It was the end of another disappointing knock from Harry Brook, who is seen as the future of English cricket and might also be the next England white-ball captain after Jos Buttler.

Brook was dismissed for 19 off 29 balls with 3 fours. He looked in solid during this innings but couldn't carry on to get a big score as England's innings derailed further.

It also marked the end of the tournament for Harry Brook as he finished with just 47 runs in three matches at an average of 15.66. He was expected to do well as he has a good record in Test cricket in Pakistan.

However, the youngster wasn't able to live up to the expectations and had a difficult tournament. Brook will look to learn from these mistakes and emerge as a better player in the next ICC tournament.

Marco Jansen's excellent new ball spell

Earlier in the day, Marco Jansen demolished England's batting order py picking up three wickets with the new ball upfront. Jansen got the big wickets of Phil Salt, Jamie Smith, and Ben Duckett to put his team in command.

With no seam and swing available in Karachi, Jansen used his height to perfection as he entangled England's batters with impecacable lines and lengths.

The wickets of Phil Salt and Jamie Smith looked quite similar as both of them tried to pull a short of a length delivery but were caught with their top edge being taken easily.

Ben Duckett was dismissed off a simple delivery that was bowled on the pads. But the batter chipped it straight towards the bowler to be dismissed for just 24. Marco Jansen finished with 3-29 in 5 overs in his opening spell.

England looking to salvage some pride

England are already out of the tourament after losing their first two games to Australia and Afghanistan respectively. However, they will be looking to salvage some pride here by winning the match.

Since it is Jos Buttler's final match as captain, the team will look to end on a high. Meanwhile, South Africa are almost through to the semi-finals. If they win this game, they will finish as the toppers of Group B.
