Delhi Capitals pacer Mitchell Starc took the new ball for his team in the ongoing game against Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is hosting the game between the two teams in the league.

After posting a total of 203 runs on the board, Delhi Capitals were off to a decent start with the ball. The Axar Patel-led side got the prized wicket of Shubman Gill as the Gujarat Titans skipper got run out, thanks to the mix-up with Sai Sudharsan.

Mitchell Starc started the innings on high as he bowled the decent first over, but the start of his second over didn't go the way he wanted. Sai Sudharsan slammed consecutive boundaries on two balls and put the pacer under pressure. But that didn't go well with the pacer as he attempted to get him out in a unique way.

Mitchell Starc tried to Mankad Sai Sudharsan ahead of the last of the third over. As the fast bowler was in his run-up stride, he got distracted as the Gujarat Titans batter was backing up by a long way, and the Australia National Cricket Team pacer didn't like it.

Sai Sudharsan had another impressive outing with the bat for Gujarat Titans. The opening batter got his team off a decent start yet again, even though they lost their skipper early. The left-hander played some magnificent shots in his innings and put the opposition under pressure.

Sai Sudharsan ended up playing a magnificent innings of 36 runs off 21 balls. He had a strike rate of over 171 and also slammed five fours and 1 six. After getting out, Jos Buttler (97*) played one of his best knocks in the league to take Gujarat Titans home with 7 wickets in hand.

Sai Sudharsan talked about his innings, saying that the wicket was good to bat. He also talked about preparations, saying that try to react to my best. Speaking after the game, he said:

"The wicket was fantastic to bat, had a great outing. The wicket was too good to bat in the first 6 overs. From the bat also the speed was really good, was coming on to the bat nicely as well. If it's a good ball, it's good to time the ball.

"Have to time the ball in the best possible way and to perfection. It goes on during the preparation. I try to react to my best. It's really fantastic to watch Buttler play, learning a lot from him. Getting two points every game, that's more important."
