India National Cricket Team pacer Mohammed Shami didn't have a great outing with the ball in the ongoing game against England National Cricket Team. The virtual series decider between the teams is taking place at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.

Mohammed Shami, who looked in decent touch in the first game, has been having a torrid outing with the ball in the second match. The fast bowler has been taken for a lot of runs by the England batters, which has allowed the visitors to take their total over 300 runs.

Mohammed Shami looked pretty ordinary with the ball in his first spell and it was expected that he would close the game on high for the team. But that wasn't the case as things got worse for him in the death as he was taken for runs, especially by Adil Rashid.

Adil Rashid slammed Mohammed Shami for three boundaries in the 48th over. On the fourth ball, the England spinner slammed the pacer over mid-off for a one-bounce boundary. After that, Rashid hit a length ball over wide mid-on for a second consecutive four.

Adil Rashid then made sure he ended the over on high. Mohammed Shami bowled off-pace short of a length ball on off-stump. The England batter backed away and slapped it through covers for a rocketing boundary.

Mohammed Shami gives away 66 runs in 7.5 overs, manages wicket of Gus Atkinson in his spell

Shami bowled 7.5 overs in the match and gave away 66 runs. The fast bowler managed one wicket in the match, removing Gus Atkinson. The pacer had an economy of over 8 but surely looked out of rhythm as he mostly bowled in the leg-stump region.

Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of the bowlers for India as he picked three wickets and gave away just 35 runs in his 10-over spell. Barring Axar Patel, the rest of the bowlers were on wickets as they ended England's innings with 304 runs.

Joe Root was the top run-getter for the England team as he scored 69 runs while apart from him, Ben Duckett (65) also hit a half-century. Harry Brook (31) and Jos Buttler (34) also played vital knocks in the middle before Liam Livingstone ended the innings on high.

Livingstone played a crucial innings of 41 runs, while Adil Rashid (14) also hit some blows in the end as England ended with a total of 304 runs on the board. India, who won the first game, would be hoping to chase the target and take an unassailable lead of 2-0.
