This Is Just The Post - Jasprit Bumrah

Before the start of the match, Jasprit Bumrah highlighted the importance of staying present and not overthinking the upcoming series. He said that his role as vice-captain doesn’t change his commitment to the team. Bumrah expressed his eagerness to contribute and take responsibility.

"Good morning. Not too much. It's a short lay-over. You try to spend some time at home and get ready for the next series. Try not to think too much about what's ahead. Just stay in the present," Bumrah said.

"(On being the vice-captain) This is just the post. It doesn't change my job in whatever I have to do for the team first. I always love to contribute and take responsibility. It's a designated post. But it doesn't mean anything if I'm not able to perform. Yes, very happy with the extra responsibility but in my head, I want to do the job that I have been doing for a long time."
