Finally, the PCB chief, Mohsin Naqvi, has made a remark on the Pakistan Cricket Team avoiding a press conference ahead of the much-anticipated clash with the Indian team on Sunday.
By now, all are well aware of the controversial clash between India and Pakistan during the early group stage game of the Asia Cup 2025. The match not only led to Pakistan's defeat but also marked one of the most humiliating days in the history of Pakistan cricket.
Indian players had made up their mind to avoid any friendly gesture with the Pakistani players, since this was the least they could do for the people who died due to the terror attacks in the Pahalgam valley and then further in the counterattacks that followed.
Mohsin Naqvi responds with the remark, "We will talk soon' after being questioned on skipping the press conference
Following the handshake row controversy and the ICC denying the PCB of their unjust demands to remove match referee Andy Pycroft from the Asia Cup, Mohsin Naqvi's team has cancelled the press conference ahead of the Indian clash.
While some have cited this as the Pakistan Cricket Board's silent revolt against the ICC for not having met their demands, some have felt that Pakistan is ashamed of facing India after their humiliating defeat against India.
Though the conference was cancelled, the Pakistan board has yet to state the context. When PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi was chased over by reporters for the same update, he dropped a quirky "We'll talk soon" remark with a broad smile on his face.
A video that went viral through PTI marked Pakistan skipper Salman Agha and head coach Mike Hesson indulging in an intense conversation with the PCB Chief.

Indian great considers proper media communication as an essential aspect of modern cricket
Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar has also dropped his views on the Pakistan National Cricket team after they opted out of the press conference ahead of the vital clash against India. The former cricketer has reasoned that clear communication with the media is essential.
Though the former star has also posed doubts on whether any steps will be taken against the team for skipping the conference, he has clearly said that media releases help the teams put forward their viewpoint, which helps avoid controversies that often arise due to speculations.
Indian players take Pakistan clash for granted ahead of the second clash in the Asia Cup
The Indian cricketers have recently concluded their Asia Cup group-stage matches and have hence opted out of the optional training session ahead of the Pakistan clash. Moreover, the Indians look overconfident after their initial win over their Asian rivals.
Only the likes of Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, and the spinner Varun Chakravarthy were seen in the nets ahead of the much-anticipated clash. India will kick off their Super-4 matches with the Sunday clash against Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
