MS Dhoni, on Wednesday (May 7), once again proved that he can still change the course of a game with his wicketkeeping as the Chennai Super Kings turned the ongoing game against Kolkata Knight Riders on its head with two quick strikes in an over.
Batting first, KKR were off to a shaky start with their opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz departing for just 11 runs. However, Sunil Narine and captain Ajinkya Rahane did not let CSK make further inroads after the early breakthrough.

At the end of the powerplay, KKR were on 67/1 with both Narine and Rahane well set. The defending champions were firmly in the driver's seat before Noor Ahmad and MS Dhoni joined hands to put their team on the front foot.
In the 8th over, Noor and Dhoni combined to pick two wickets in a space of four balls to derail KKR's innings. On the first ball of the over, MS Dhoni stumped Narine to give his team a much-needed breakthrough.

Noor bowled a tossed-up delivery around middle and leg, and Narine charged down the track to play a big shot. However, the KKR opener failed to make any contact with the ball. He was beaten, and the ball struck the pads.
Narine and Angkrish depart successively
And before Narine could get back safely inside the crease, MS Dhoni quickly picked up the ball and uprooted the stumps.
Narine departed after scoring 26 runs off 17 balls with the help of 4 fours and a six. Three balls later, the former India captain took a sharp catch to send back in-form Angkrish Raghuvanshi.
The Afghan spinner bowled a googly outside the off stump, and Raghuvanshi could not pick it.
He ended up edging the ball, and Dhoni made no mistake in taking the catch. The KKR batsman departed after scoring just 1 run off 2 balls.
