Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batter Ayush Badoni had a fair share of luck with the bat in the ongoing game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The 30th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is taking place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Ayush Badoni, who walked out to bat at number five, was expected to play a big hand in his innings but he couldn't. The right-hander was back in the hut at the crucial juncture of the game as Chennai Super Kings bowlers kept chipping in with the wickets at regular intervals.

Ayush Badoni played some good shots in his innings but he also got two lifelines as well. He first got out to Matheesha Pathirana in the 13th over as he got caught, but it turned out to be a no-ball. If this was not enough, he then survived an LBW call against Ravindra Jadeja due to a little spike on the gloves.

The third time, luck almost favored him, but finally, he had to walk back. It was on the 4th ball of the 14th over when Ravindra Jadeja bowled a quicker delivery that was wider of off stump. Ayush Badoni attempted to skate down the pitch and launch but he missed it.

MS Dhoni collected the ball just behind the stumps and whipped the bails in the blink of an eye. Ayush Badoni was asked to stop once again as the umpire checked if the gloves were wholly behind. He was fully convinced that there was no part of the glove that was in front of the stumps as the batter finally walked back.
