India pacer Mukesh Kumar has been top-notch with the ball in the ongoing second T20I against Zimbabwe National Cricket Team. The two teams are up against each other on Sunday (7th July) at the Harare Sports Club in Harare.

After India posted a gigantic total of 234 runs on the board, Mukesh Kumar took his team off to a flying start with the ball. The pacer removed Innocent Kaia in the first over and put the opposition under pressure. He bowled well after that but was taken to the cleaners by the Zimbabwe batter Brian Bennett.

Brian Bennett in the third over first slammed Mukesh Kumar for a six on the 4th ball and then followed it up with another maximum on the 5th ball. This brought the fast bowler under pressure and he thrived under it as he took his revenge to perfection on the next ball of the over.

Mukesh Kumar bowled a back-of-a-length ball that seemed in after hitting the deck. Brian Bennett didn't opt for the right shot as he went for the pull across the line but missed it. The ball shattered the stumps and the Zimbabwe batter was livid with himself.

Here's the video:

Brian Bennett played a decent knock for his team as he scored 26 runs off 9 balls. He batted with a strike rate of around 290 and also slammed 3 sixes and 1 four in his innings. With his wicket, Zimbabwe National Cricket Team lost their second wicket for 40 runs.

Mukesh Kumar in his first three overs gave away 26 runs and also picked up two wickets. After that Avesh Khan supported him well as the fast bowler picked two wickets and left the opposition tottering. Ravi Bishnoi and Washington Sundar are also in the wickets.

India opted to bat first and they didn't have a great start with the bat as skipper Shubman Gill lost his wicket early for 2 runs. But after that, it was all about Abhishek Sharma. The left-hander played a knock for ages and made sure that he helped the team put the opposition under pressure.

Abhishek Sharma ended with an innings of 100 runs off 47 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 212 and also hit 7 fours and 8 sixes in his innings. Ruturaj Gaikwad supported him well as the batter played an innings of unbeaten 77 runs and added 137 runs partnership with the opening batter.

In the end, Rinku Singh played a brutal cameo. He ended with the innings of unbeaten 48 runs off 22 balls and had a strike rate of 218. He also hit 2 fours and 5 sixes in his innings. Based on his brutal power hitting in the end, India ended with a total of 234 runs on the board.
