Pat Cummins stuns the cricket world with a screamer
Cummins has undoubtedly been one of the best captains in the world since he took over the leadership of the Australia National Cricket Team. Pat Cummins already has a World Cup and a World Test Championship as a captain.
The 32-year-old believes in leading from the front, and over the years, he has delivered several inspiring performances both with the ball and bat to steer his team to victories.
In the first innings of the second Test against the Men In Maroon, Cummins chipped in with a crucial 17 runs off 20 balls, with 3 fours, and played a key role in the Aussies posting 286 on the board.
With the ball, Cummins took his team to a good start by picking an early wicket of Keacy Carty in the 9th over. Cummins, who is regarded as a very safe fielder and rarely drops catches, took a screamer off his own bowling to dismiss the West Indies batter.
On the second ball of the 9th over, Pat Cummins bowled a length delivery to Carty that nipped back into the right-hander. The West Indies batter pressed forward with his bat away from his pad, got a thick inside edge, and the ball lobbed up in front of the short square mid-wicket position.
Seeing the ball in the air, Cummins quickly changed his direction, sprinted across to his right, dived forward and pouched an unbelievable one-handed catch inches above the ground to dismiss Carty for 12-ball 6-run.

Last Test, the middle order did a fantastic job - Pat Cummins
Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, Australia skipper Pat Cummins lauded the middle-order batters for performing well in the previous match. He said:
"We are going to have a bat first. Might be the best thing to bat today looking at the surface. Last Test, the middle order did a fantastic job. He (Smith) has scored runs all around the world, he will find a way (to score runs) on this wicket."
Meanwhile, the West Indies skipper Roston Chase said that they played well initially in the previous match, but performed poorly in the second innings. He said:
"I have never played here, the pitch looks decent. We would have bowled first, so I am happy with the decision. We played good cricket for two innings, but we gave away too many runs in the second innings in the previous Test. Happy for him (Brathwaite), great achievement to play 100 Tests. We have one change. It's a seamer-friendly wicket. Warrican is not playing, Anderson Phillip comes in."
